The disease profile in Asia is also taking on a Western lifestyle profile with diseases such as diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease increasing their prevalence. They are now the main causes of death in Asia.

How we run the business

Typically clients approach us with the request to evaluate their current performance and/or potential of their international product range in Asian markets. Our team will evaluate the product portfolio, analyze the market potential in the various countries and prepare a recommendation in which we will focus on the most promising product/market combinations. In this process a visit of the client to one or more of the key countries can be included during which the senior management will be introduced to all facets of the business environment enabling them to envision these markets. Once the plan is finished VDS Healthcare is in most cases leading the execution and often becomes a commercial partner either by direct sales or through a commission based model. We become our client’s “man in the field”.

Motivation & Control

One of the key aspects of doing business in Asia is the control and motivation of the entrusted local partners. Through its long term experience in Asia, its established network and teams, VDS Healthcare forms the link between the client’s head-office and the local partners. This involves not only motivating and controlling the country importer and distributors, assisting them in establishing and executing a strategic plan for the products concerned, but also working closely with agencies entrusted with other services such as obtaining market authorizations or involved in demand creation.
